Chapter 04 – Mapping your Domain to your Hosting Account

By now, you should have registered a domain name (Chapter 2) and purchased a hosting account (Chapter 3). The next step is to connect the two.

In this chapter, you will learn how to point your domain to the folder on your web host which contains your website.

To do this, you will need to update the DNS (Domain Name System) information for your domain at your domain registrar. You may also have to “map” your domain at your web host, if that was not already done for you.
